I remember reading those books and thinking "I can't wait to be 13!". They could do whatever they wanted! I went back and read a whole bunch of the books a few years ago and realized how unbelievable it really was. They must have been 17 or 18 to be doing half the stuff they did.
And yes, I wanted to dress like Claudia too. :D

rereading old faves as a jaded adult. hmm... seems chock full of dissertation possibilities. maybe i'll reread all those judy blume books i related to back in the day...
